Dexter, MO

We were planning on reaching our new house today, but after a delay getting our propane tank filled and having no electricity from our generator after restarting it, we stopped at Sikeston to see if we would have to stay overnight at the Rv park there to have electricity. We restarted it there and it started working so we ran it for a while to make sure it was ok and then decided to drive another half hour to the Walmart here in Dexter and stop for the night. We will have about 150 miles to go tomorrow.

Corinth, MS

What a coincidence! The last blog post was last fall from Sikeston, MO. The next day we stopped for the night at the Walmart in Corinth, MS. We continued on the next day to our daughter’s recently purchased house in Weaver, AL. We stayed there all winter and looked for a house to purchase in that area. We didn’t find any that were the right fit for us there, so we took a quick trip in the Jeep back up to the Cabool, MO area a couple of months ago and found our house on the second day of looking. Now we are overnighting back at the Walmart in Corinth, MS on our way to our new home.

(Temporary Backup) Cabool, MO

Our stay at our daughter’s new house and property near Cabool, MO. turned out to be longer than expected. We enjoyed our time with them until they had to go back to North Dakota and then after they left, we stayed for a couple more weeks or so and just relaxed. It was kind of like a vacation. Now we are on the road again and stopped for the night at the Rv park behind Lambert’s Restaurant in Sikeston, MO.

Canton, MO

I have really fallen behind in my blogging. After leaving Sauk Centre we stayed in Bismarck, ND for a month visiting our oldest daughter and her family. We ate a lot of food and played a lot of games. The month passed quickly as usual and we moved on to our daughter’s house in Sioux City to finish up some projects there after an overnight stop at the Walmart in Aberdeen, SD. Again we ate a lot of food, played some games, and checked several projects off on the list. After three weeks or so the weather started to cool off and it was time to go. We stopped at our daughter’s house in Des Moines for a couple of days and stayed for 6 days, again eating a lot of food and playing some games. I enjoyed seeing some of the grandkids basketball and soccer games and we met our newest great granddaughter! Goodbyes are always hard and we left there this morning. We fought a headwind all day today and are stopped for the night at the Walmart in Canton, MO.

Sauk Centre, MN

We ran into what looked like a big rainstorm coming this afternoon so I pulled into a rest area that God provided just as the rain started. It turned out to be quite a wind and rain storm, so we waited it out in the rest area.

Afterwards the sky cleared up and we drove on to spend the night here at the Walmart in Sauk Centre.

Wausau, WI

We made it to the generator repair place shortly after lunch and they looked at it right away. They had the part that they needed and had it fixed in an hour or so. We decided to stay overnight there anyway and start out again in the morning. Mom found an antique store to go look through and then we had a delicious supper at a Chinese restaurant called the Happy Wok.

Our campsite:

Escanaba, MI

Time flies and it was time to leave. A long day for us driving and we overnighted at Walmart in Escanaba, MI. Our generator has a diesel fuel leak and we have an appointment to have it looked at tomorrow morning in Wausau, WI. We are driving there today and are supposed to be able to park overnight there.
