We left Waco Sunday morning and spent the day driving to Bossier City, LA. We stayed here at the Diamond Jacks Casino RV Park. We walked over to the casino Sunday night, but it was full of smokers, so we left. Monday we met Ranger Terri at the refuge where we volunteered here several years ago. She showed us some of the changes at the refuge and we went to lunch with her. Lunch was at a really good Cajun restaurant where we all had some good sandwiches. Went to a couple of stores in the afternoon and had supper in the motorhome. Today we will head out to Natchez, MS. It looks like a rainy drive today.
Here are a few left over pictures from Waco. Space X has a large facility there and we could often here the jet engines being tested there even though they were more than ten miles away.
This is the kind of debris that we were cleaning up at Waco Lake in the campgrounds. All of this drift wood floated in during the floods and surrounded the shelters and campsites.
We attended Mass at Sacred Heart Church while we were in Waco. They have a wonderful and joyful priest there who was raised in the Philippines. We always enjoyed visiting with him after Mass. We will have fond memories of Father Benjie!
