Getting Ready to Leave Sioux City Again

On Thursday, we will leave the motorhome here in the driveway and head to Georgia for Mom's surgery. We will drive the Jeep to Des Moines and transfer our stuff to the van and head on toward Georgia.  We will stay in Georgia while Mom recovers, and then head back home.  We are looking forward to seeing the house that Andrea's family has moved into since we left Des Moines.  We have enjoyed our stay in Sioux City even though it was short.  The weather has been fairly pleasant and we were able to spend a little time with family and friends and get a few projects done on the house, Jeep, and motorhome.  Tomorrow will be busy getting ready to leave.  A few of Janice's flowers were blooming while we were here, they have been getting a lot of rain lately.

We found out last week that we got the volunteer position that we had applied for at the Ordway-Swisher Biological Research Station in Florida. (Click on the link for more information.)  We start there November 3, and are really looking forward to it.  It will be mostly outdoor work similar to what I was doing at Saylorville Lake.  We will be there for at least three months.
