Interrupted Morning Commute

After a rain storm here, we drive all of the 72 miles of  roads looking for fallen trees and limbs on the roads.  On the way to work this morning, there was a tree blocking my way on the main road.  It was too big to move with the tow strap, so I took a detour and let them come out with a chain saw and cut it up.  Then I got to move the pieces out of the way.

This is the new tractor that I am enjoying using.  Note the nice log mover on the front.

The view from the drivers seat.

Some of the controls.

And down the road we go.

Log in the grapple and ready to move.

Sure beats cutting them up into small pieces and carrying them by hand!

  1. LOL -- sure can tell that you aren't volunteering for the Forest Service. We never saw anything as cute as that in Oregon! Looks like you're havin' fun. Your time there should be drawing to a close soon. Where ya goin' next?
