Accident

Today on the way back from town, Janice was waiting for an oncoming truck to pass in order to make a left turn. The driver in a car approaching from the rear was apparently not looking and ran into the back of the Jeep without applying the brakes. The oncoming truck took to the ditch to avoid the Jeep and was able to drive away.

Gotta love heavy duty bumpers. Janice is fine, rode to the hospital in an ambulance and got checked out.  Sounds like she will be a little sore for a few days. The back of the drivers seat broke and laid down flat into the back seat. The bumper pushed forward into the Jeep and did some damage.  Tomorrow we will try to get a rental car and find a body shop for the Jeep. Hopefully we can get it repaired before our scheduled departure date. The couple in the other car were badly shaken up and were taken to a different hospital.
