The Desert is in Bloom

Spring is here in the desert. Much of the time in the last few Jeep treks has been spent admiring the greening up of the desert and the explosion of flowers everywhere.

Looks like Janice is having a conversation with a Saguaro.

I thought that this piece of wood was interesting.

A couple of old shacks at a mine here.

A stone house at a different mine.

Not sure what kind of bugs these are.

Janice and a friend checking out a mine.

Janice at Dripping Springs.

Petroglyphs near Dripping Springs.

The cliffs above Dripping Springs.

More petroglyphs there.

Hugging cacti.

There are a lot of these Bougainvillea bushes around town. This one is by the driveway into our RV park.

Another day, another trek.

This formation was called The Royal Arch.

Some areas were just a carpet of flowers.

We stopped at the Hovatter Homestead yesterday. There are two graves here on top of the hill. If you want to read more about this site, click here.

Social distancing.

It looks like we will have one more trek before we head north for the summer.
