It's a New Year

It's a brand new year and we are starting it in Georgia again.  I am behind in posting pictures here so I will catch up a little.   December 12 was the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  The church here has a large Hispanic population and so they have a big celebration starting about 4:30 in the morning with folk dancing and a mariachi band and then Mass at 5:00 and a breakfast at 6:00.  I went last year and enjoyed it, so I got up early and went again this year.

We put up our little tree in the motorhome and the same one made with strings of light as last year.

Janice was busy before Christmas making gifts for everyone.  Cakes, soups, and other mixes in jars and some bird feeders and candleholders made with cups and saucers.

Someone has asked about Grandma's dogs, here are some pictures of Noodles and Cookie.

Everyone made it to Grandma's finally late Christmas afternoon to spend a little time with us.

We spent New Years Day at Grandma's with just her.  Taylor came over later in the day, but no one else came over.  Janice and Grandma left for Atlanta this morning.  Amy has bought us tickets for a dinner theater Saturday evening, so I will go over and join them on Saturday.  Two more weeks here and we hit the road again.

  1. At least a couple of them must figure that if you're gonna put underwear on your head, they should at least match. :-)
