Audubon Aquarium of the Americas

On Tuesday we visited the aquarium here in New Orleans.  We bought a combo ticket for the aquarium, insectarium and butterfly garden, and the zoo.  First of all though, here are a some pictures inside of the Cathedral of St. James that I took on Saturday.  As you can see it is very big and beautiful.

Ok, so now we are off to the aquarium.  You enter through a tunnel under the water.

They have a tropical area upstairs where we found these birds.

And here is a penquin for Mark.

A sea otter.

And a big turtle.

Inside Parakeet Point there are many friendly parakeets.

One was trying to get into Mom's bag.

 They must try to escape!

They also had a few seahorses.

And one of my most favorites were the tanks of jellyfish.

Another long day, and we were tired.  Coming next, Wednesday's trip to the insectarium and butterfly garden.
