French Quarter

Today we visited the French Quarter in New Orleans.  There are many places to buy hot sauces and cajun spices, but this one had samples!

 
 Also a lot of places to eat.  We thought the menus here were interesting.



 
 We had mufuletta sandwiches and after we enjoyed them, we remembered it was Friday.

 
 Later, we stopped by the famous Cafe Dumond to have the famous Beignets.  Think square funnel cakes with a great advertising campaign.

 
 We hit a few shops and then went to Bourbon Street.

 
 It's a very interesting place.  Lots of bars and street performers.


 
 Even a human transformer.


A very fun and tiring day.

    Ha! Forgetting it's Friday, classic. I might have gone for the wild rabbit had I forgotten it was Friday. I'll have to show the Transformer to the boys!
