Downtown Mobile

Mom wanted to hang around the motorhome today, so I did a walking tour of the downtown area.  I had downloaded an ebook with a walking tour on it on my ipod, so it was my guide.  The tour started at Fort Conde.  This is a rebuilt revolutionary war fort.

 

These rooms are built into the thick fort walls.

 This is the Mardi Gras museum celebrating the fact that the tradition of Mardi Gras was started here.
